Troy Lowry — President & CTO, CoinAiLyzer Corp. Founder & CTO, Acon AI. Formerly SVP of Technology Products, CIO and CISO at the Law School Admission Council.

For 26 years I built and ran technology organizations inside someone else’s company. For the last two I’ve been building my own — the corporate structure, the capital, the hires, the partnerships, the licensing and the go-to-market, as well as the models. This page is the short version of both.

Now

I’m President and CTO of CoinAiLyzer Corp, which ships an AI coin identification and grading product to paying subscribers on iOS and Android. I incorporated it, arranged for the use of IP build at Acon AI, brought in two numismatist partners with a combined sixty years in the trade, set the packaging and built the go-to-market. I also designed and trained the models, built the reproducibility infrastructure, set up a production grade scalable architecture, and published the research behind the models.

Through Acon AI I’ve built production AI across three domains — coin grading, healthcare payer contract optimization, and consumer beauty analysis — and published a study of grading-service calibration across 65,092 coins with a 27,272-coin replication cohort.

Before

I spent 26 years at the Law School Admission Council, the last six as SVP of Technology Products, CIO and CISO. I reported to the CEO, sat on the executive leadership team, and ran a 150+ person technology organization with a $30M budget inside a $90M business.

Some of what that involved: defending the core franchise against a direct competitive threat, with a product-line expansion that produced $6.5M in first-year sales. Moving 120,000 tests online in six weeks. Creating the application service used for hundreds of thousands of applications a year and hundreds of smaller projects.

Available for

I’m super busy, but always happy to chat. I’d consider Fractional CTO work, AI advisory, and technical due diligence — particularly with companies that need someone who can set the AI strategy but who also understands the details.

The thing I’m most useful for is Managing the Interfaces. It’s a much different problem from building the app, which Claude Code does fairly well. It’s where most AI-assisted projects come apart.
